World Youth Day

Preparations are already underway for the next World Youth Day in Australia in 2008. Following the success of Cologne 2005, a group of pilgrims will be representing our diocese for this exciting trip.

Drug Awareness Programme - DAP

DAP aims to provide quality drug education, training and support services which develop knowledge and skills in order to enhance competencies and capacities in a variety of settings and sectors.

Lucan Youth Service

Lucan Youth Service is a joint project of Catholic Youth Care and County Dublin VEC. They run many activities for a growing population of young people in Lucan.

This includes:

• Ballyown Castle Youth Room: Drop-ins, Snooker, Board games, Girls group, Theatre drama, sound technology and guitar classes
• Specialist programmes for Young People: "Challenge" drug awareness programme, Personal development, Faith Development
• Sport and adventure: Canoing, Rockclimbing, Orienteering, Football coaching
• For adults and youth leaders: Courses in youth leadership, arts, parenting.
• Lucan Youth Cafe Initiative
